Week 6 began smoothly as four games were completed before lightning entered the equation to postpone the final games of the night.

Before the postponement, MHYP United swept in a doubleheader to get a spot in third place of the standings with playoffs nearing. MHYP first beat Good Kickers (FA), 2-0, before then taking down Space Cadets, 5-1.

Raptors FC pulled out a 4-2 win over Space Cadets to start their day, while Misfits won, 2-1, over Good Kickers (FA).

The postponed games (Looking to Score vs. Misfits, Boomstick FC vs. Even My Grandma Could Score That Goal, Boomstick FC vs. TyrannoSuarez Rex) have been moved to either Tuesday May 19th or Wednesday May 20th.

The sky was clear and matches were ready to be played Thursday night, but both would change through the night.

Only two matches were played after lightning and rain postponed the 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. matches.

No. 8 seed Even My Grandma Could Score That Goal and No. 9 seed Space Cadets shot hot in a barn burner. Even My Grandma snuck away with a 4-3 win to advance to play No. 1 seed Boomstick FC.

No. 4 seed Misfits and No. 5 seed Good Kickers saw about the same total of scoring, but was a bit more one-sided. Misfits shut out the Good Kickers, 5-0 to advance to the semifinal round.

The remaining quarterfinal and semifinal matches will be played on Thursday, June 11th with the final following on Thursday, June 18th.
