The playoffs were a one day event. The SCRUBS couldn’t round up enough players, so they had to forfeit their first round game against AK47.

In the other semifinal, THAT’S WHAT SHE SET took on the ROUGH SETS. The ROUGH SETS were also missing their normal players, so the communication wasn’t quite there. They lost the first game 21-8. They did improve in the second game, only losing 21-14. THAT’S WHAT SHE SET advanced to the championship.

The championship ended up being the
two best teams in the league. THAT’S WHAT SHE SET hasn’t lost a match the whole season; they’ve only split matches with AK47. AK47 has improved immensely from the beginning of the season. They have given TWSS a good run for their money every game.

In the first game, TWSS took off and got an 8-4 lead. AK47’S captain, Agustin, gave a quick rallying speech to get his team alive. It worked; AK47 scored the next 5 points to take the lead. The game went back and forth until AK47 couldn’t keep up, they lost 21-19.

In the second game, TWSS got an early lead as well, but then AK47 came back again! It definitely looked like AK47 would take this match. They lead throughout the teens, and even got up 19-16. TWSS showed no sign of worry, they played calm and managed to come back and tie it up at 21. The cap score would be to 25 and with both teams trading points, this game was sure to go there. Tied at 24 a piece, the last volley was pretty short. The serve was returned, and then Agustin, who played a very impressive game, had a mishit into the net to end it 25-24.

Congratulations to THAT’S WHAT SHE SET for winning the championship.
